It would seem like all I ever do lately is pair a knitted top with a midi skirt. It has become a staid formula I have managed to inject in my wardrobe. This was taken yesterday, in the midst of all the going to and fro to my husband's (now mine) municipality to my old residence. It was a pleasant enough day and we really put it off until the golden hour so I'll be bathed in beautiful light. I mean, really, with the soft rays of the sun shining down on your being, who needs make-up? Although I could use some more  lip color. I look too sickly for comfort. Husband's family probably already thinks I'm too puny to procreate (Calm down people, we haven't even been married two months yet! lol /facepalms).

So in between being gawked at by joggers and cyclists (who also had the same idea to catch the last rays of the sun whilst sweating buckets), we got our shots! Hope you like it. :)

In Citrus

It's so hard to feel morose when I'm decked out in two of the most cheerful colors ever known to man: yellow and orange. Well, to me, at least. I know a few people who will flat out say black and grey perks them up. As for me, I'm perfectly content looking like a citrus-flavored cupcake.

What color gives you a temporary high?

Pastel Frocks and Sunny Afternoons

I love February not because it's the love month but because of weathers like this. It's our version of spring so pardon me if I'm enticing you with pastel dresses and mildly sunny afternoons. If only it will last forever.

I've been enjoying married life so far although it was tough adjusting to a new home, new faces and new routine. I was completely struggling to keep up with my old schedule but the husband tends to disrupt my usual routine. I even have to adjust to having cats around. Husband has three cats at home!

We do a lot of cooking these days. lol. And planning. So much planning. We have yet to have a proper honeymoon. We're thinking Disneyland! That's what's getting me excited. hehe.

Have a great weekend!

To The Lighthouse

The first time we went to the lighthouse, there was a cranky old man who took away some of the fun of shooting there. It's really a beautiful spot to take photos so this time, we just used the lighthouse as a backdrop and shot on the road. It's actually not frequented by a lot of people so no cars!

This is as F/W as I can get here in the Philippines. My top and skirt are both thrifted, my bag is a vintage find and my beret is from an online store I can no longer remember. Hope you liked this outfit!

Barely Gone

You know that feeling when you leave your house for a few months and you come back to everything familiar but find that a strange, alien, otherness has crept in? That's what I feel like returning to blogging. But worry not. This is just me revving up my rusty blogging system after my self-imposed hiatus.

With my wedding over and done with (not that I found the whole thing an ordeal, mind you) and I have somehow settled in (barely, if we're going to be specific, as my entire truckload of clothes are still in their temporary homes), my focus is now back to primping. I want to bury the past few weeks of wearing jeans non-stop in the deepest recesses of my mind, so sick and tired I am of the utilitarian style I have been adapting as of late.

Anyhow, I'll be posting wedding photos soon. I won't inundate you readers with too many of it and I won't be turning this into a wedding blog but I'll be posting just enough to give you an idea on how I got hitched to my best friend/outfit photographer/personal assistant/partner in crime.

In the mean time, please make do with these photos my husby took from our last Baguio trip. I think the focal point of this outfit (in my eyes tho) is my outerwear. I went thrifting a couple of weeks back, looking for a vintage dress of sorts to wear for my wedding prep. I chanced upon this coat purely by kismet. I've been a fan of System coats since I started turning my Kdrama fashion addiction to business.

And these oxfords. Aren't they super cute? No? Am I the only one with a fringed oxfords addiction? ehe~

I'll be back with more stories, for sure. Hope that last photo of the unpalatable okonomiyaki is enough of a finishing touch!
