I'm Engaged! And Oh I'm Back!

Long time no blog! I was finally in the mood to snap some pictures. The heat has abated just long enough for me to get dressed without feeling like taking everything off. I just wish this endless summer will end. I'm not too crazy about the upcoming rainy season but this summer is especially tedious.

May wasn't a good month for me either. I suffered from severe cramping early last month and had to go to the hospital for a check-up. It was nothing - just severe PMS that felt really weird because I haven't experienced that much PMS pain before. It's this heat, you see. A little over a week later, I was down with the flu. I couldn't eat or sleep well for two days. While recovering, I unwittingly transferred the virus to my 2-year-old nephew and he had to be hospitalized for a week. Poor guy! We've all recovered eventually.

Anyway, I'm not too ungrateful about this sunny season because I'll probably (most likely) miss it when the painstaking rainy season arrives. I'm not too keen about the inevitable flooding. It usually happens every two years. So, to pay homage to summer, I wore this very summery (to me, anyway) nautical-inspired outfit. ehe. Hope you guys like it. I missed shooting outfits.

I also have other news:

Myk and I are officially engaged. It's about time, people would say, since we've been together for 8 years already. We took our own sweet time but it was all worth it. We got in this relationship at a young age and we were able to give ourselves a chance to grow individually.

I have 7 months to plan this wedding and I'm already starting to stress about the venue. It will be a 50s and 60s-inspired wedding, obviously, what with my fixation with those decades. We'll definitely be pitching in a lot of shabby chic DIYs for that special touch. And gingham. I'm hoping to include as many gingham accents as my inner tacky police would allow.ehehe.

Well, that's about it. Thanks for reading!
