Inspiration: RED Valentino F/W 2014

I've always been overly fond of RED Valentino's collections. They never run out of cute and feminine designs to come up with. This time, they tapped into Disney's Snow White. I've been associating the red, blue and yellow color scheme with our country's flag. Thanks to this, I'm now cured of that malady.

I'm smitten with the A-line and pleated skirts, the bow bag and the swing coats! I even like that padded coat. I thrifted a Betty Boop padded vest a couple of months back and didn't know what to do with it. This look just gave me an idea.

What do you guys think of this collection?

We Carry On

It's my first time wearing a beret and I don't know what to do with it. lol. It sits so awkwardly on my head. Or maybe it's just the quality of the beret I got?

Let me tell you a story about this dress. I got it a discount store in Manila and they packed it in a clear plastic bag. Myk and I were roaming around a mall with it in tow when I saw this group of girls staring at me. I was just in a pair of jeans and shirt that day so it definitely wasn't my outfit. When we sat at the food court, one of the girls approached me and asked where I got the striped thing I have in my clear plastic bag. I was taken aback for a second (the place we were in is notorious for thieves and pickpockets so I was a little wary of strangers approaching me). Turned out she really wanted a similar striped piece. Too bad I was new in the place and the mall's layout was too confusing and too big for me to point her in the right direction. lol.

So there. Thought I'd entertain you guys with a bit of story about what I'm wearing. I have nothing else to tell except that Myk and I finally bought a new domain for the conjugal site we've been planning. I'm still keeping this blog as an outfit blog but I will put the rest in that space. Do you guys perhaps now a good artist who can make our website header? I'm in dire need of one. Thank you guys in advance!

Constant Pursuit of Time

Sorry for the long blog post intervals. It's been hectic these days and as much as I'd love to take outfit photos, I just feel eternally drained. I feel like I'm in constant pursuit of deadlines. Wedding planning is also taking up so much of my free time. I'm not complaining about that though. It's an enjoyable process most of the time when I'm not arguing with the husband-to-be about certain details such as number of guests and suppliers. I tell you, if you make it through the planning stage of the wedding, you'll probably make it through most of the hard stuff in your marriage. loljk. What do I know, right? Seriously, I really look forward to when I can already start DIY-ing some of our wedding decors.

About the outfit, this is probably the newest thing I own right now in my closet. And I mean new, as in NOT new to me. I've always felt like my closet is so anti-retail. I liked how stretchy the fabric is and how it looks so sporty. I'll probably fit in A-Pink's Mr. Chu MV. lol. It's a tad short though, hence the shorts underneath. Paired it up with my gingham shoes. I've been waiting to feature these in the blog. I also have it in green.

If the weather permits, I'm going to start posting more now. I hope my readers haven't completely written off this blog from their reading list yet. ehehe. How are you all doing?
