Nowhere Fast

Dress and Top: Thrifted | Bag and Shoes: Fashion 71 | Shorts: local store | Glasses: Chanel

There was a massive gathering of Iglesia ni Cristo members in one of the towns of La Union. As a result, InCs from all over the north flocked to our small province, flooding streets and causing an Armageddon-like traffic from dawn till dusk. I swear if all InC members put their minds to it, they could make a serious change in the country's governance.

The sensible me didn't brave the traffic, which was bumper to bumper and crawling with tourist buses. Myk and I postponed our Saturdate and just went out today. Somehow, it all turned out for the better because the day was gloomily pleasant - the kind of day when your hair decides to be agreeable and you can wear long-sleeved clothes without breaking a sweat. And to top it all off, it was uncrowded because the people flocked to a mall's opening. Malls are practically a rarity here so mall openings tend to be a big thing to us provincials.

I've had this dress for a while. 10 years ago, I would have avoided orange clothes like the plague. Orange being the color of prison clothes here, it has a certain stigma to it. But cute orangey clothes should never be passed up. Never! So I had a change of heart.

Well, I hope you like this set as much as I do. This is currently my favorite 60s-inspired shoot! <3

Have a great rest of the weekend, you all!

  1. No, you should NEVER! Orange is such a pleasant colour too!

    1. I definitely agree now. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite colors! <3

  2. I loooove this outfit! I'm so glad you wore it, despite the prison association of orange. The collar of the shirt is wonderful, and I love the dress and shoes! You look darling.
