For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic

dress and collared shirt: thrifted | shoes: local store | bag: Zeca (gift from mom)

Fell in love with this dress at the thrift store. It is plaid in my second favorite color combination (my first being red, black and white)! It has this cute embroidery detail that I find so quirky. As if those aren't enough, it also has pockets! Yes to dresses with pockets! My awkward hands have somewhere to go to.

I spent the weekend making copious amount of kimbap and being super spoiled and pampered by the boyfriend. It is simple moments like these that really make me treasure life. Heck, life is great if you have a boyfriend who you can sweet talk into massaging your aching feet! We may not have a lot and we may be living a simple and unsophisticated life but we have each other.

I live by these words these days:

If you are depressed, you are living in the past
If you are anxious, you are living in the future
If you are at peace, you are living in the moment

Choose to be at peace and get rid of the baggage. Of course it is something I have to remind myself everyday. But that's okay. Motivation is like taking a bath. It has to be done everyday. :)

Well I hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend. I know this sounds like a lame and cliche closing but at least it's sincere! :)

  1. sound like you're going through something right now. I hope it'd get resolved soon. I'm here if you want to talk, though we don't know each other that well...

  2. "My awkward hands have somewhere to go" hahahah I'm the same way Kathy!! And I know I say this every time but your smile really is just so luminous and lovely. Not to mention that quirky embroidery on your dress… how cute and zany!! I hope YOU are having a wonderful weekend as well :)

  3. What a cool vintage dress. I am also into these kind of dresses ever since I stared watching Mad Men!!!

  4. is a beautiful and sweet dress looks perfect with your angelic face, and well! I wanted to live in the present and enjoy ... it truly is a work that must be done daily sometimes hard! ...

  5. I loooove that dress!! The plaid is perfect, and I love the kooky embroidery! That saying is really wonderful... I might need to adopt that for a mantra of my own!!
