Have you ever wondered what your chances are of surviving a zombie apocalypse? I have, no thanks to The Walking Dead. You know, it's futile to seek adrenaline rush from bungee jumping or skydiving or whatever it is adrenaline junkies have taken to doing these days. You just need to watch The Walking Dead. Especially the first episode of the second season when a herd of zombies migrated and passed by the stopping place of the protagonists. The herd caught them off-guard while they were busy siphoning gas and looting provisions from abandoned cars. I nearly died from the suspense. And I don't even like zombie post-apocalyptic movies and series - or at least I thought I didn't.
There's just something gripping about this series though, despite the occasional, ill-executed gushing of blood and extraction of guts and vomiting of brains (okay, the last part didn't actually happen, but I'm sure you got the picture). I'm a passive fan of blood and gore, to be honest. I love it, just not too hyped up over it.
There's really not much ick factor watching the two seasons. I thought Game of Thrones did a better job kicking my gag reflexes, Lannister incest and cocky Theon Greyjoy notwithstanding. But if you are anything like me and you get a thrill over seeing hapless people attempt to escape in terror while a herd of undead limps after them in rabid anticipation of fresh brains and guts, you should go see it. If you haven't yet, that is.
Anyhow, just some quick shots today. Trying on the print on print look again. I was eager to do some end-of-the month thrifting. I managed to take home very pretty dresses to add to my growing dress collection. I haven't even scathed my monthly thrifting budget. That's thrifting for you. Awesome finds at cheap prices.
And some of you might have noticed my new hair cut. Nothing dramatic. Just layers. Which I thought would volumize my hair a bit but only managed to make it look thinner. I have a lot of hair woes these days. It's a self-absorbed thing, please don't mind me.
The last photo is of a cup of ice scramble. I've been craving for it the whole week despite the fact that I only had it a week ago. I had three toppings added to it this time. Call it a sweeter version of the fro-yo.
Hope you guys don't get tired of my incessant ramblings. You should all go have a wonderful weekend. You all deserve it after battling the odds of the past few days. :)
so gorgeous! <3

DeleteI always imagine trying to survive a zombie apocalypse, it is probably the biggest bane of my life! The Walking Dead really doesn't help these thoughts either, have you watched Dead Set? It is the scariest zombie series, I've ever watched! I spent the week that it was on tv planning escape routes from my house, so not healthy!
ReplyDeleteYour skirt is adorable, I love how it is both pleated and floral!
Carmen Ri.
I haven't watched Dead Set but I'm on a zombie withdrawal and I can't stand it so I think I will go and check out! lol.I can relate to the part where you were devising escape routes. haha! In my case, I am thinking what sort of provisions to bring.
