Where's Finnick? Odair he is!

Except for blogger and work-related matters, I have been avoiding the internet, particularly social networking sites, like the plague. I didn't want anything (or anyone) to spoil The Hunger Games to me. After more than a year's worth of effort expended stalking, fan-girling and fawning over an imaginary Peeta and Katniss, I sure didn't want other people's accounting of the movie cloud my own judgement of it.

I have been chomping at the bit, silently sulking and wishing I was living somewhere urban where theaters are almost always updated. I knew there's not much to expect from this small town where elevators are a rarity but really, progress here is beyond ridiculous.

In my mind, I have already fed whoever perpetrates the scheduling of movies in theaters a thousand times to the mutts. Or released a swarm of tracker jackers. Or surrendered them to President Snow (who, in the movies, impressed me as a twisted version of Santa Claus or a better-groomed Gandalf) for execution.  Kidding. I have no murderous tendencies whatsoever.

So as a result, I have reduced myself to the life of a hermit.

You would think I have been bored out of my wits what with all the free hours I have, spent inside the four corners of my room but no. I had ample time to sleep in, catch up with the recent episodes of Running Man, Nikita, Once Upon a Time, Fringe and The Vampire Diaries and finish all my recent k-drama addictions. Geekery at its finest.

There is no possible way you can make a nesting kidult grow bored. No way in hell.

I did get to see The Hunger Games last friday and again yesterday. And oh my baking Peeta, it was so darn good! No words. I can't seem to get enough! And no, I wouldn't take a shot at a movie review. I'm bad at that because I can be so biased sometimes. Besides, I wouldn't be able to get past the ogling part long enough to give you a decent review. I expend less effort in being a scatterbrain. Plus, you've all probably seen the movie by now so...

I was expecting the movie to border a bit on anticlimactic with the hype it has been getting as of late. But no. No hype. Just pure, unadulterated A movie.

I am immensely satisfied.

On another note, I finally had the time and opportunity for an outfit of the day shoot. My usual photog, Myk, is not around so I had to drag a reluctant family member to take my photos. :'(( The weather has been nothing but bipolar these days, rainy and cloudy one moment and sunshiny the next, hence my perpetual headache.

Button down top is from my favorite thrift shop, yellow electric pleated skirt is vintage and from Myk's family's chestful of vintage clothing and pair of wedges is from an online shop.

I'm looking forward to the Holy Week vacation. My fingers could definitely use some reprieve after all the writing and editing I have been doing.

I made a new twitter account, by the way. I don't know what happened to my first one. I have been using twitter for work-related stuff but I figured I could use some outlet now that I'm not using Facebook as often as before. Follow me onegai? *insert Puss in Boots pleading eyes here*
